Tour Overview

No visit to Cape Town would be complete without a trip to the summit of Table Mountain. This half-day tour begins with a scenic drive to the Lower Cableway Station, where you'll board a cable car. Traveling at a speed of about 33 feet per second, the journey takes just under five minutes to the summit of Table Mountain (3560 feet). The car's rotating floor and huge windows ensure a 360-degree aerial view as you head up the mountain. Upon reaching the summit, there are a number of short walks you can take; you'll also find a restaurant and souvenir shop. After an hour atop the mountain, you'll descend the mountain by cable car.
Drive by the Company Gardens, the oldest garden in South Africa. Established in 1652 by Jan van Riebeeck, it was originally used as a vegetable garden to supply fresh produce to passing ships. Return to the quayside via the Castle of Good Hope - the oldest building in South Africa.
