Tour Overview

Prati, Rome
Until the late 19th century, Prati was an undeveloped rural area of pastures and farmland. Today Prati is a historical residential neighborhood in the center of the city bordering the Vatican State. It boasts a vibrant gastronomic scene with traditional food markets that give a glimpse into daily life alongside some of Rome's best boutique shopping on its wide, tree-lined boulevards. A visit to Prati takes you off the beaten path yet still steps away from the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica.

Departing from Civitavecchia, your 90-minute motorcoach ride to the heart of Rome takes you through the glorious Roman countryside and along the Tyrrhenian Sea. Once on the food trail, your guide will educate and entertain with insights into Rome's culture while exploring Prati's most fascinating landmarks.

Via Cola di Rienzo
Via Cola di Rienzo, Prati's main shopping street, has wide sidewalks lined with many fashionable boutiques selling clothing, accessories and shoes as well as internationally known brands. In addition, find an authentic flower and fruit market and outdoor vendors peddling handicrafts.

Taste a variety of the best local food that Rome has to offer on your walking tour.
Sink your teeth into suppli (fried risotto balls), taste authentic pizza, and fine local wine. Sample a selection of cured meats and cheeses, and sip a freshly roasted Italian espresso accompanied by a buttery pastry. Top it all off with homemade artisan gelato.
