Tour Overview

Raise your beer and say terviseks! during a tour and tasting at the Kochi Microbrewery. Following a walk through Tallinn's historic Old Town, you'll stop at the 145 year-old harbor-front warehouse and meet Master Brewer Mario Lehis. Enjoy a mixed flight of craft beers and a variety of snacks.

- Lower Old Town
Noted by UNESCO as an 'exceptionally complete and well-preserved medieval' city, Tallinn's Old Town was built between the 13th and 19th centuries. An intimate neighborhood of colorful houses, half-hidden courtyards, ancient guard towers and well-preserved churches, Old Town exudes old-world charm, and Town Hall Square retains the ambience of its days as the center of the Hanseatic League, trading goods from around the world in its central marketplace.

- St. Catherine's Passage
The most picturesque of Old Town's lanes, St. Catherine's Passage is a narrow walkway that runs between Viru and Müürivahe streets. The lane is home to the St. Catherine's Guild, where you can admire glasswork, ceramics and leather goods created by local artisans using traditional methods.

Tallinn's Old Town is home to a treasure trove of medieval architecture and Town Hall Square proves to be one of the city's most photogenic subjects. Among the sites you'll see includes the 615-year-old Town Hall topped with a red clay roof and adorned with water spouts in the shape of dragons.

Sip and savor the unique flavors of Estonia beer at the Kochi Microbrewery. Set inside a 145 year-old warehouse, the five-year-old brewery is making a name for itself with handcrafted beers. Master Brewer Mario Lehis will share his secrets of crafting some of the city's tastiest beers and you'll get to enjoy a sampling accompanied by a variety of snacks.

Travel to the historic heart of Tallinn to Toompea hill, dotted with medieval houses that line cobbled streets and tiny alleyways. Approach Lower Town, nestled at the foot of the hill and protected by the remnants of an ancient city wall, iron gates and watchtowers. Around the city wall are green parks and a lively city atmosphere.
