Tour Overview

Board your air-conditioned transportation for the drive to the rainforest tram site located at an ecotourism and research facility near Braulio Carrillo National Park. Glide through the treetops aboard a comfortable aerial tram accompanied by a private naturalist guide who will be able to point out the marvels of the rainforest as you travel through the lush canopy. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of this formerly inaccessible area, primary rainforest, home to a majority of the world's bio-diversity and two-thirds of Costa Rica's rainforest species. Here, enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch in our magical Rain Forest Restaurant, surrounded by the rainforest.

The orchestra of the rainforest will be the background music as you enjoy this truly exquisite dining experience. Additionally, you can explore paths throughout the forest floor, which allow you to discover the rainforest from a different perspective and with greater appreciation. Upon arrival at the launch site of the Tortuguero Canals, board a covered boat for a leisurely cruise as your expert guide explains the wetlands ecosystem. Your guide will point out wildlife, which might include howler monkeys, sloths, toucans and other exotic fauna and flora. Throughout the excursion, your guide will explain the nuances of banana, pineapple and palm-oil plantations that you will see along the way. At the end of your tour, re-board your transportation for the transfer to the ship.
