Tour Overview

Board your motorcoach and travel north to picturesque St. Andrews.

Widely known as the 'Home of Golf', the medieval town of St. Andrews is famous for the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, one of the oldest golf clubs in the world and one of the worldwide ruling bodies of the game.

Your tour includes a scenic drive highlighting the key points of interest in this historic town, beginning with a photo stop at St. Andrews Cathedral. View this exceptional collection of 14th-century ruins, which hint at the grandeur that once was the greatest of all Scottish cathedrals.

Proceed through the town's lively center and note the shops, galleries and boutiques, which you may choose to peruse on your own. The town streets give way to lush, green golf courses and you'll see the expansive splendor of the world-renowned Old Course, which hosts the Dunhill Cup annually and the Open Championship every five years.

Disembark at the British Golf Museum, a perfect spot to begin your independent sightseeing of this golfer's paradise. Inside you'll find galleries and displays that chronicle the history of golf. Continue your celebration of the game and photograph the facade of the venerable Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.

If you are looking for golf clothing and other souvenir items, they can be found in many of the local shops. If you are hungry, be sure to sample the fresh fish n' chips in one of the cafés. Stroll the grounds of the historic university, marvel at the ruins of Blackfriars Chapel, a 16th-century building in the middle of South Street, or simply enjoy the natural scenery of this coastal town.

At the end of the day, return to the motorcoach for a scenic drive back to the ship.
