Anand Ballabh, Ship Security Supervisor
My name is Anand Ballabh. I was born in a small village in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand in India--also known as "Simply Heaven"--in February 1968. At the age of 18 ½, I joined the Indian Navy and served as a marine commando for 15 years. I was released in July 2001 with the full honour of being a pensioner from the Indian Navy.
I restarted my sea life with the Security department on board the majestic Golden Princess in May 2002. It's a wonderful coincidence that I have been voted as the Employee of the Month onboard the same vessel after nine years. It is a pleasant surprise.
First, I would like to thank my great Security team for their support, as usual. Without them, I would never be able to perform my duties to the best of my ability. I would then like to thank the Medical and Photo departments for nominating me and finally the Golden Princess C.R.U.I.S.E. Committee for voting for me as the Employee of the Month.
It is difficult to be recognized whilst performing my daily security duties: screening passengers and at the same time rendering good hospitality to our passengers. I follow the policy of always helping people and I am proud to be with Princess Cruises as a Security employee.
