Kevin Hughes will be a familiar face to many Princess passengers, as he’s a popular comedian that has audiences rolling with laughter about his take on relationships and romance. Since 2002 he has been sailing the seas with Princess, entertaining passengers with his comedic insights.

After talking with thousands of couples, Kevin formed his list of the top ten qualities that partners who have successfully stayed together, say are important. Interestingly absent from the list are: sex and money. (What made it? In order: compatibility, kindness, humor, compassion, communication, health, honesty, affection, the ability to forgive, and friendship.)

As Hughes sees it, friendship and affection are key to a successful relationship because they "keep you together long enough so that when you fall out of love and passion, your friendship and affection help you rediscover that love and passion."

Kevin's ability to produce great humor, combined with pathos and perception, has made this one-time college drop-out (and long-time MENSA member) a successful stand-up comedian and highly sought after speaker on the corporate and college circuits.

Kevin was born in Ohio, the eleventh of twelve children. A veteran of three tours with the Unites States Army, Kevin returned to college, eventually earning a Masters in Psychology.

But according to Kevin his most sterling credential is his nearly 30-year, vibrant marriage to his hero – his wife Kathy. It was love at first sight, Kevin explains…for him. Kathy, he continues, could not see so well. Four nights after meeting her, Kevin proposed. A year later, they wed. Three decades, two children and fifty added pounds later, they are still, happily, together.

Kevin has produced a series of successful recordings including the DVD, Wild About Love, and the CD, Love is A Laughing Matter.
