Depart by motorcoach from the pier for a 60-minute drive to the beautiful city of Faenza, a splendid city of art renowned for its production of exquisite pottery during the Renaissance period. Then stop at the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza. Walk into the old town, admire the architectural ceramic details and elegant central square, Piazza del Popolo and its beautiful Cathedral (exterior visit). Then head to the Ceramic Workshop, where you will observe various stages of production. Next you will arrive at the viewpoint of Brisighella for photo opportunities of the green valley below. Before reaching Brisighella town centre, enjoy a light buffet of traditional local products and taste the renowned and precious "Brisighello" olive oil. Then enjoy a short walk through the medieval town and browse for souvenirs, admire the shops and boutiques or stop to sip a delicious cappuccino in one of the traditional cafes.

Special Notes:

You may encounter long lines and dense crowds. Dress conservatively when visiting sacred sites. Clothing should cover the shoulders and knees. Shorts and vests are inappropriate.

This tour requires considerable walking. Guests must negotiate uneven surfaces. Not recommended for passengers with limited mobility. Wear flat-soled, comfortable walking shoes.

The drive to Faenza is approximately 60 minutes each way.

Sequence of tour stops may vary. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.

On weekends and bank holidays, the demonstration at the ceramic workshop does not take place; ceramics factory may close without notice during July and August. On Monday and bank holydays the International Museum of Ceramic is closed, the visit will be changed with Palazzo Milzetti. Shops in Brisighella are closed on Thursday, Bank & Church Holidays. Shops are normally open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.


On Sundays and church holidays, tour groups are not allowed inside the churches during services. However, time permitting and if the church permits, entry may be allowed on an individual basis to view the interior quietly and reverently; Your guide will not be able to enter with you.
