Plenty of fun on the island of Grenada
Caribbean Cruise Destinations
If you're looking for a scenic Caribbean cruise destination, it doesn't get much better than the isle of Grenada. While ports on other Caribbean islands may be more akin to cities, St. George's Harbor maintains an idyllic old world charm.
It's easy to spend a whole day in Grenada simply walking around St. George's and relaxing on one of the scenic beaches nearby. Many of the shore excursions will give travelers an overview of some of the highlights near this port, such as Fort Frederick and the Dougaldston Spice Estate.
While there's definitely a lot to see around the main town, you won't be disappointed if you're looking for adventure. River tubing is a great way to get the adrenaline pumping while also seeing Grenada's rainforest. If you prefer to stay dry, a four-wheel drive adventure accomplishes the same thing.
Other options for excursions are slightly more relaxing. Book a day of snorkeling followed up by some relaxation time on the popular Grand Anse beach. Or head out on a catamaran for a taste of open water on a full-day sail. There's even a party cruise, complete with steel drum band and a getaway to a white sand beach.
