Caribbean Princess At-A-Glance


True to her name, Caribbean Princess will offer passengers a medley of special Caribbean-themed activity options to convey a true island atmosphere on board, including the "Movies Under the Stars" outdoor screen, a special Caribbean buffet with rotating local specialties, festive deck parties, a special stage show and a four course lobster dinner served on passengers' private balconies. In addition, Caribbean Princess' passengers will be the first to experience the new Princess-operated spa program, and young guests will be able to take advantage of an expanded Princess Kids program.

 Movies Under the Stars -- Caribbean Princess' giant Times Square-style LED screen will launch a new feature for Princess, designed to take full advantage of the balmy tropical weather. This unique, 300-square-foot screen will screen up to three movies daily, including kids movies, first run hits, and late night movies. Passengers will also be able to bask in the glow of the tropics without missing a moment of major sporting events and other can't-miss programming. Lounge chair reservations will be available for film screenings through the Princess Concierge Service, and Princess' hallmark poolside service will be available to enhance the viewing experience with a variety of drink specials and movie nibbles.

 First In-House Lotus Spa -- The cruise industry's first in-house spa will feature an array of renowned sea-based treatments and services designed for both men and women, with even some special services for teens, plus custom staff uniforms designed by noted L.A. fashion designer Sue Wong. In another industry first, consumers will be able to make advance reservations for spa treatments prior to their cruise through Princess' web site. Unique to Caribbean Princess, the spa will extend ashore during the ship's call at Princess' private island, Princess Cays, with treatments such as beach massage, pre- and post-island sun care treatments, Thalassotherapy and relaxation classes.

 Cafi Caribe -- Unique to Caribbean Princess, and an industry first, this themed buffet captures the tastes of the Caribbean. This elegant but casual dining option, located at the aft end of the ship's Horizon Court area, presents a changing menu of Caribbean themes with specialties such as Grilled Caribbean Rock Lobster, Paella-Style Prawns, Whole Roast Suckling Pig, Jerk Chicken, Guiana Pepperpots and Curries, and many more local favorites. Sporting colorful Caribbean dicor and live music, the space features an open kitchen where passengers can order their meal cooked to their specifications.

 Ultimate Balcony Dinner/Breakfast -- Passengers can also take advantage of the tropical climate with a special meal delivered right to their own private balcony. In an industry first, Caribbean Princess passengers can enjoy a The Ultimate Balcony Dinner -- a full evening featuring a hosted cocktail party, fresh flowers, champagne and a deluxe four-course meal featuring delicate sweet lobster tail for $50 per person. For those who want start the day with a romantic meal, the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast includes Cuban specialty pastries, fruit salad served in a pineapple half, chilled marinated shrimp with papaya relish, warm egg and tomato pie with cheese gratin and a half bottle of French champagne, all for $25 per couple.

 "Caribbean Caliente" -- A new stage show designed specially for Caribbean Princess will pulse with music from Caribbean-area destinations such as Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Miami, Mexico and other Latin America countries. Passengers can enjoy songs and lively dance numbers featuring hits from contemporary Latin artists such as Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Enrique Iglesias and Gloria Estefan; long-time favorites Tito Puente and Celia Cruz; and island-style music from singers such as Bob Marley.

 Sailaway Party/Island Night -- A Caribbean vacation easily lends itself to a festive atmosphere, and Caribbean Princess will not disappoint. Two special Island-style deck parties will keep passengers in a tropical mood -- with a "Jamaican'me Crazy" sailaway party and a "Caribbean Carnivale" Island Night Party. With live music, festive rum punch and other fun cocktails, local flavors and more, these happenings will get everyone up and moving to a Caribbean beat.

 Family Activities -- Princess Kids takes on a new dimension aboard Caribbean Princess. With a popular itinerary that's sure to attract many families, the ship will keep junior passengers and their parents enjoying themselves with new programming and a unique Kids' Fair. The Kids Fair will feature 12 booths where children can enjoy toy demonstrations, face painting, hair braiding and a tattoo' parlor, the opportunity to capture a picture with program mascot Pelican Pete, and enjoy treats such as popcorn, cupcake decorating, lemonade, candy and caramel apples.

Debuting April 3, 2004, Caribbean Princess will feature nearly 900 cabins with balconies -- more than on any other cruise ship sailing year-round in the Caribbean. The ship also offers many of the line's distinctive features such as the signature Personal Choice Dining., offering a choice between the restaurant-style Anytime Dining and Traditional Fixed-Seating. Other Caribbean Princess amenities include extensive children and teen centers, a wedding chapel, internet center, and an extensive array of entertainment options and venues.
