Luganville, Vanuatu
Around 50 kilometers south of Champagne Bay is Luganville, Vanuatu’s second-largest town. Most visitors come to this bustling trading port to dive at the many historically significant sites just offshore; the wreck of luxury liner SS President Coolidge – one of the world’s largest, most accessible and most interesting wrecks; and nearby Million Dollar Point, where a wealth of US weaponry and equipment was dumped in shallow water after World War II. Both sites are just a kilometer or two away from town.
