Coles Bay, Australia (scenic cruising)
Coles Bay, a holiday town of less than 500 residents on Tasmania’s east coast, sits at the foot of a granite mountain range known as the Hazards. The Bay, which prides itself on being Australia’s first plastic-bag-free town, is the gateway to Coles Bay-Freycinet National Park, an area renowned for its pristine beaches, distinctive coastal scenery and excellent fishing, boating, swimming and bushwalking.
Wineglass Bay
A must-see is Wineglass Bay, an immaculate crescent of fine white sand flanking a cobalt sea. It is ranked amongst the world’s top 10 beaches. Most tours to the National Park also include views of glorious tracts of wilderness and pink granite mountains rising dramatically out of the sea.
