San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua

Granada

Granada is Nicaragua's oldest colonial city and was founded in 1524 by conquistadors. It lies on the shore of Lake Nicaragua and has always been a main trade center. Today, the town is a literary center with many colorful colonial buildings and monuments.

Lake Nicaragua

This lake is the second largest lake in Latin America after Lake Titicaca. So vast, from one shore, one cannot see the other side. And, the lake has everything it needs to be a sea: waves, archipelagos of islands and the only fresh water sharks in the world.
