Cathedral of Our Lady

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Gothic-style Roman Catholic cathedral has undergone countless renovations over hundreds of years. In addition to its iconic north tower, the beautiful cathedral features paintings by famed 17th-century artist Peter Paul Rubens.

Het Steen (The Stone)

Located along the River Scheldt, this medieval 13th-century fortification is Antwerp’s oldest building. For 300 years, the castle was used as a prison before temporarily housing archaeological collections and finally becoming Belgium’s National Maritime Museum.

Ghent

Not far from Antwerp, this medieval city boasts incredible centuries-old architecture. Take in sweeping views from atop St. Michael’s Bridge, including the extraordinary Saint Bavo Cathedral and Gravensteen, the nearly thousand-year-old Castle of the Counts.
