Question: How do I sign-up?
Answer: Players should book on of the cruises hosting a tournament using a travel agent, by calling 1-800-Princess, or by going to www.princess.com. There no registration for the tournaments before the cruise. Just sign up in the Casino once onboard.
Question: Can I play in more than one tournament?
Answer: Yes, players may choose to play in as many tournaments as they wish.
Question: What time do the tournaments start?
Answer: Please check with your casino staff or onboard casino schedule of events for this information as it may be voyage specific. All tournaments will be conducted while the ship is at sea.
Question: How long do the tournaments last?
Answer: This depends on the game and the number of participants.
Question: Who can join the tournaments?
Answer: Anyone on the cruise over 21 may enter the tournaments.
Question: Can I play in the Grand Finale without playing in the prior tournaments?
Answer: Yes. You can sail on the Grand Finale voyage and enter any of the Grand Finale tournaments without playing in any of the preliminary tournaments.
Question: Will the Tournaments sell out onboard?
Answer: No. The tournaments will accommodate everyone onboard who chooses to participate.
Tournaments Description
Question: What is the structure of the Slots tournament?
Answer: Entry fee is $100. The slot tournaments will be conducted in a manner similar to regular onboard tournaments. Each player will spin their slot machine an equal number of times versus other players in the qualifying rounds. The players with the top scores at the end of their round will be placed on the leaderboard. After the qualifying rounds are completed, those remaining on the leaderboard will advance to the final round. During the course tournament, if a player is knocked off the leader board due to other entrants higher scores, they may re-enter after paying another entry fee. Grand Final Event slot tournament only: Contestants receive their playing times at the registration table. All contestants must play in two individual sessions. Both Rounds consist of 150 spins (approx 10 minutes). Scores from round one are added to round two to determine the semi finalists. Finals are held immediately after the semi finals.
Question: What is the structure of the Blackjack tournament?
Answer: Entry fee is $100. The blackjack tournaments will be conducted in a manner similar to regular onboard tournaments. Each player will receive $1500 in tournament chips and be dealt 10 hands. The players with the most money in tournament chips at the end of their round will be placed on the leaderboard. After the qualifying rounds are completed, those still on the leaderboard will participate in the final round. During the course tournament, if a player is knocked off the leader board due to other entrants higher scores, they may re-enter after paying another entry fee. Grand Final Event blackjack tournament only: Contestants receive their playing times at the registration table. All contestants must play in two individual sessions. Scores from round one are added to round two to determine the semi finalists. Finals are held immediately after the semi finals.
Question: What is the structure of the Texas Hold'em Poker tournament?
Answer: Each contestant can buy in for $150. All contestants play in the Texas Hold'em no limit game on our Poker Pro tables. A few rounds will be played during the cruise depending on the number of entrants. The top players from every round will proceed to the final round.
