Tour Overview
Board your air-conditioned transportation for a comfortable transfer to the Fort San Felipe del Morro where your walking tour begins. You will visit this magnificent fortress which guards the entrance to San Juan Harbor. Explore the grounds and its museum while enjoying an amazing view of San Juan Bay and coastline. Your guided walk continues through the Ballaja Barracks, formerly a military barracks which now houses the Museum of the Americas. Continue on to Quincentennial Square and San José Square. After exploring the great architecture of San Jose Church and its surroundings, proceed down the cobblestone Cristo's Street to San Juan Bautista Cathedral. There is a photo break at La Rogativa Monument before proceeding to Cristo's Chapel.
Special Notes
Entrance fee to El Morro Fortress is included. This tour involves extensive walking. It is typically hot in Old San Juan; please dress accordingly and take adequate precautions regarding the heat and sun. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The return back to the ship will be on foot or on mini van depending on the docking arrangements of the ship.
