Tour Overview
See the stunning sights of Hong Kong on this exciting, half-day, moderately active, guided tour that begins at your pier where you will board your air-conditioned motorcoach. Then sit back and enjoy a scenic drive through the Cross Harbour Tunnel to vibrant and bustling Hong Kong Island.
Travel to Peak Tram Station where you will step aboard one of the world's oldest funicular railways for an 8-minute tram ride to the summit of Victoria Peak located 1,805 feet above sea level. Have your cameras at the ready as you take in panoramic views of the Hong Kong Island, glistening Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon Peninsula. Take time to peruse the many shops located at the peak for souvenirs of your breathtaking visit.
Re-board your motorcoach for a visually remarkable drive down the Wongneichong Gap Road which offers views of Happy Valley Racecourse and the Hong Kong Jockey Club, founded in 1884 to promote horse racing.
Visit Aberdeen, a picturesque village that is home to thousands of "water people" who live aboard their junks and sampans (flat-bottomed boats). Board a sampan for a short tour of the calm waters of the Inner Harbour. As you glide among the hundreds of boats there, keep an eye out for Aberdeen's famous floating restaurants.
While in Aberdeen, visit a local jewelry factory where you can observe skilled artisans at work handcrafting all manner of fine adornments. Peruse the fabulous selection of jewelry available for sale.
Your journey continues taking you past Repulse Bay, the island's most spectacular beach resort boasting azure waters and golden sand. Its name comes from a 19th century battle in which the British army repulsed attacking pirates.
Indulge in a shopping excursion at the fabled Stanley Market located on southeastern Hong Kong Island. Stanley Market is one of the world's great bazaars, featuring a dazzling array of stalls and shops that sell handcrafted souvenirs and jewelry, fashions, cameras and toys at reasonable prices. Enjoy free time to browse, make purchases or just sightsee prior to your relaxing and scenic drive back to your ship.
